Wacom Drivers MAC for Windows3 min read

If your Wacom tablet is not working on your Mac, you may need to uninstall your driver to fix the problem. But before you try this, make sure that you are running the latest version of Wacom’s tablet driver.

The standard uninstall process in macOS will leave a lot of junk and remnant files behind, such as app support files, preferences, caches, etc. These leftovers can eat up your storage and cause other problems.

How to Uninstall Wacom Drivers:

If you want to uninstall Wacom Drivers from a computer, there are several steps you need to take. First, you need to quit all running processes on your Mac. To do this, open Activity Monitor and click on the Processes tab.

Next, you need to find and remove all the support files of Wacom Drivers from the /Library folder on your Mac. You can do this manually, or use a free app from Nektony called Funter to search for these files quickly and easily.

Once you have removed all the files related to Wacom Drivers, restart your Mac. It should work properly now!

Step 1: Quit All Running Processes:

Before you can uninstall Wacom Drivers MAC, you need to quit all running processes (if they are present). This is done by opening Activity Monitor in the utility folder of Launchpad and selecting All Processes on the drop-down menu.

Once you find the processes associated with Wacom in their name or title, select them and press the Quit Process button.

Next, you need to go to the Applications folder and delete the Wacom Tablet folder by dragging it to the Trash. This will eliminate all leftover files from the driver, including any preference panes that were installed with it.

Step 2: Delete the Wacom Tablet Folder:

To do this, you first need to quit all programs associated with it. The Wacom Tablet Driver, such as Wacom Tablet Utility or any other applications that may be using the driver in the background. You can locate these programs on your dock and then right-click them to select Quit.

Once you have quit all the programs that are associated with the Wacom Driver, Also, you can now proceed to delete all of the files it has left behind. These files are typically located in the /Library folder.

To quickly open this folder, you can press the Command+Shift+G key shortcut or use the Go to Folder feature in the Finder window.

Step 3: Delete the Wacom System Preferences Pane:

Also, When you install a Wacom Driver, it creates a preference pane on your Mac. This is usually located in the System Preferences window.

If you don’t want the Wacom Tablet preferences to appear in the window anymore, right-click on it and choose to Remove the “Wacom Tablet” Preferences Pane.

Next, in the Security & Privacy section of System Preferences. Check to see if any components have been added to the list that says “allow the apps below to control your computer”.

Make sure any Wacom component has a checkmark and also ensure any known applications like Photoshop list. If not, visit Adobe’s support guide for instructions on adding these programs to the list.

Step 4: Delete All Leftover Files:

Usually, when you uninstall a program, it leaves behind a few files and folders that are worth eradicating. These leftovers can be a great source of clutter and slow down your computer.
